South American Delegation Led by ABAF President Visited Finland’s FinnMETKO Trade Fair – Featured in Puumies Magazine
A high-level South American business delegation led by Wilson Andrade, Executive Director of ABAF, attended FinnMETKO, delivering a clear message to Finnish companies: billions will be invested in Latin America’s forestry sector in the coming years, and Finland should be actively present in South America.
ABAF represents around 20 major pulp companies operating in Brazil and approximately 300 local forest producers, making it a key gateway to the region’s forestry investments.
Business developer Niina Fu led a 28-member delegation from South America to FinnMETKO at the end of August. The delegation included representatives from forestry organizations, companies, contractors, and sawmills. The Finnish hosts of the visit were Logset Oy, Alucar Oy, TP Silva Oy, and Arbonaut Oy.
