Seminar in Helsinki: How to Reach Big Mining Companies as an SME? Case Studies from Chile

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) often face challenges when entering the supply chains of major mining companies. To address this, a group of Chilean SME contractors and an engineering company shared their experiences on engaging with key players in Chile’s mining industry.

PYMES del Norte Association delegation visited Finland – Representing 26 mining companies from Chile’s Antofagasta Region, PYMES del Norte is part of the official mining cluster in Northern Chile.

Impact of the Ukraine War on Delegation Size – Originally, 15 participants signed up for the visit to Finland, but due to global uncertainties caused by the war in Ukraine, many representatives cancelled their trip.

Key Event Highlights

Opportunities for SMEs in Chile’s Mining Sector

During the event, Chilean contractors will explain how SMEs can enter the supply chains of major mining companies, highlighting:

This event aims to bridge the gap between SMEs and large mining companies, offering practical guidance, networking opportunities, and industry insights.

In addition to the networking event, the delegation – the Chilean delegation also attended Teknologia, Finland’s leading technology trade show, to explore new innovations, industry trends, and networking opportunities.
