A Finnish wood construction delegation traveled to Chile to explore business opportunities, promote Finnish expertise, and strengthen cooperation in sustainable wood construction.

The visit included Finnish architectural firms, a log house supplier, and Aalto University. During the trip, the delegation engaged with over 150 Chilean companies through seminars, networking, and knowledge exchange with real estate developers, construction companies, and industry professionals.

✅ Wood construction site visits – Exploring state-of-the-art timber buildings and innovative projects in Chile’s rapidly evolving wood construction sector.

✅ Meetings with leading forestry companies – The delegation visited Arauco and CMPC, two of the region’s largest forestry and wood product companies, gaining insights into Chile’s wood supply chain, sustainability efforts, and industrial capabilities.

✅ Visits to local production units – Learning about Chilean timber processing, prefabrication technologies, and construction techniques.

✅ The visit culminated in a high-profile seminar, co-organized with CENAMAD, bringing together industry experts, business leaders, and policymakers to discuss the future of sustainable wood construction.
