Finnish Mining Delegation Visits four Chilean Major Mines

The visit opened with a top-level meeting at the Finnish Embassy in Santiago, where Chilean 50 officials and company executives exchanged views on exploration, safety, environmental performance, and digital mining solutions. Additional meetings were held with Minera Las Cenizas, a mid-sized copper producer operating underground mines in Cabildo and Taltal.

A public seminar in Antofagasta gathered over 100 regional mining professionals and showcased Finland’s strengths in sustainable mining innovation, advanced technologies, and operational efficiency.

The mission further strengthened Chile–Finland collaboration and opened new pathways for joint development in sustainable mining, processing optimization, and high-tech solutions across one of the world’s most important mining regions.
