Finnish Chamber of Commerce and Niina Fu Host 2019 Mining Seminar in Helsinki

The Finnish Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Niina Fu Consulting, hosted a high-level mining seminar in Helsinki for a Latin American delegation. The event gathered over 50 participants, including 12 Peruvian mining companies, Finnish technology companies well as representatives from universities and engineering firms.

The seminar, titled “Opportunities for Sustainable Development,” featured the following key presentations:

  • Opening remarks by the President of the Finnish–Latin American Trade Association
  • Finland: The world’s most attractive country for mining investment in 2018
  • Financing instruments available for Peruvian mining clients
  • Finland’s ambition to become the largest global producer of nickel for batteries
  • Remarks by the Ambassador of Peru in Finland

The event was sponsored by Sandvik Mining & Construction and Wärtsilä Oyj and included a business networking session connecting Finnish suppliers with the visiting Latin American mining companies.

The successful seminar set the foundation for the delegation’s technical visits across Finland, strengthening cooperation in sustainability, innovation, and modern mining technologies.
