Chilean-Peruvian Delegation Explores Finland and Sweden’s Leadership in Wood Construction

A delegation of architects, academics, and real estate professionals from Chile and Peru, led by Territoria—one of Chile’s leading real estate developers—and El Consorcio Tecnológico Ciudad Madera, Chile’s first public–private initiative dedicated to sustainable wood construction, carried out a technical study visit to Sweden and Finland from May 12–17, 2025.

Key Objectives of the Visit

✅ Meet with developers, industry leaders, and policymakers

Finland & Sweden: Pioneers in Sustainable Wood Construction

The program included visits to flagship projects such as Wood City 2027 (the world’s largest wooden urban development), the Cederhusen residential complex in Stockholm, and a pilot district of timber housing in Turku.

The group also attended the networking events organized bt WoodBuild Finland 2025 international conference, visited Aalto University’s Wood Program, the innovation hub KIRAHub, and held meetings with leading architecture firms.
