President of IIMP Leads Latin American Mining Delegation to Finland 2014
Helsinki, Finland – Antonio Samaniego, President of the Institute of Mining Engineers of Peru (IIMP), is leading a high-level delegation of Latin American mining professionals to Finland to explore the country’s advanced mining technology and sustainable mining practices.
The delegation includes nine key representatives from leading mining companies and institutions, including MILPO, Minera Tauro, Xstrata Las Bambas, Minera San Cristóbal Bolivia, and Universidad Católica de Santa María. The visit is organized in collaboration with IIMP.
Objective of the Visit
The delegation’s goal is to:

A key part of the visit was a seminar organized in cooperation with the Finnish Chamber of Commerce, where the Peruvian delegation met with Finnish industry leaders, mining technology providers, and policymakers. The seminar focused on:
