Pioneers of Timber Construction Explore Finland and the Netherlands

Participant satisfaction reached an outstanding 4.9/5, while 90% of attendees reported gaining valuable new professional contacts through the program.

In April 2026, Niina Fu Oy organized a professional study tour, supported by LuxDev (Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency), for 16 professionals from Latin America representing architecture, timber construction, real estate development, and urban planning. The delegation explored leading timber construction projects and sustainable urban development initiatives in Finland and the Netherlands.

The program included meetings with architects, city planners, developers, and sustainability experts, showcasing Finland’s strengths in timber construction, low-carbon building, and climate-smart urban development.

According to Victor Montero-Dien, Founder and CEO of REGENBE and a founding member of the Alliance for Mass Timber Construction (AMTC):

“Finland’s expertise in industrial timber construction, circular economy solutions, and innovation offers exciting opportunities for collaboration with Latin America.”

The study tour strengthened international cooperation and created new opportunities for knowledge exchange and future partnerships between Europe and Latin America.
