South American Delegation Explored Digital Sawmill Technologies, Led by Chilean Forest Industry Association CORMA

In September 2025, a 27-participant delegation from Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, and Chile visited Finland and Estonia as part of Sawmill Safari 2025.

The delegation visit was organized and implemented by Niina Fu Oy and sponsored by Jartek Invest Oy and Hekotek AS.

The program was carried out with high-level local partners in South America. The delegation included Chile’s largest forest industry association CORMA, Brazil’s sawmill and wood processing association ABIMCI, and one of Brazil’s largest industrial federations, FIEP.

Survey results were clear—100% of participants were satisfied with the program and visit.

During the visit, companies toured leading Finnish and Estonian sawmills and technology providers and attended the Puumessut Wood Fair in Jyväskylä. Several participants are considering new sawmill projects or modernization investments based on what they saw.
